Crew Profile

Captain Name: Crew Profile : Tyler and Charlotte

Meet Captain Tyler and Charlotte, a dynamic team who will show you fun, relaxation and adventure aboard Knot Anchored. Whether it be a romantic getaway or a family gathering, Tyler and Charlotte have the dedication and experience to provide a week of amazing memories that will last for years to come.

Tyler, a Texan native, began his sailing career racing dinghies on lakes before going on to skipper charter yachts in the Mediterranean. Growing up, he enjoyed power boat water sports on the lake near his home town and scuba diving in the Caribbean. Having met Charlotte on a sailing trip two years ago in Croatia, he decided to set aside a career as a mechanical engineer in order to pursue a life on the water.

Charlotte grew up on a dairy farm nestled in the Irish countryside where her keen interest in local produce and farm to table food began. Having spent her school years working in service she learned early on, the importance of attention to detail and seamless delivery. After completing her degree in Law and French at university, she decided to leave the desk behind and pursue a lifelong dream of becoming a chef on the water. She has been cooking professionally on charter yachts for the last two years in the Mediterranean and spent last winter working as a chef in the Swiss Alps. She has a passion for fresh and delicious produce and loves sharing her love of food with her guests.

The beauty of the Caribbean is undeniable and Tyler and Charlotte always allow this to permeate every detail of their charters. Tyler is most at home in the water and loves taking guests snorkeling and diving to discover the world beneath the surface. He is PADI certified and has dived in many exotic locations all over the world. Charlotte is a keen diver too but she also enjoys showing guests the breathtaking sites in the Caribbean. Tyler and Charlotte believe that every charter is exceptional when there is local knowledge and friendly connections are made. They love engaging their guests in all the fun!

Captain Tyler and Charlotte are an energetic and enthusiastic crew who deliver a wonderful experience tailored for you. they are super kid friendly too and love to have families on board. ( See kids activity list below and be sure to check out Charlotte's kids menu) Be it relaxing with a cocktail and a good book on a sunset sail or free diving in isolated crystal-clear bays, or playing games on the beach, this crew know how to take a week at sea and make it truly unforgettable.
