Crew Profile

Captain Name: Captain: Christian Mehlmann
Nationality – British
Having grown up on the Solent, UK on the family yacht, Christian has always had a passionate love and respect for the sea and was only a matter of time before he entered into the professional world of yachting at the age of 17.
A keen traveller and natural leader he raced through the ranks becoming captain at the age of 23 and has since then travelled many parts of the world in both hemispheres and to this day doesn’t tire from the wonderful places to be seen and experiences to be had with hundreds of guests and owners from all walks of life.
Christian loves to provide that unique experience together with his energetic and vibrant crew and relishes in seeing the enjoyment that guests have on their unique holidays going that extra step to make sure it all falls into place.
His hobbies include cooking, hiking, golf and diving as well as being very handy with the DIY when at home in the South of France.

Chef: Erica Mehlmann
Nationality - American
Erica is a southern California girl, born and bred but one with a serious travel bug. She has traveled to over 40 countries and since graduating from UC Berkeley has lived in London, Hong Kong and Barcelona before finally settling in the sunny south of France. Her favorite things are sunshine, beaches, reading, scuba diving, new cuisines and cultures.
Her love of travel and fine food led her to be a Yacht Chef and she studied at Ashburton Culinary School and has been on boats ever since. She enjoys cooking fresh, vibrant, locally sourced foods with a focus on Mediterranean, Asian and healthy cooking. Her dream destinations in yachting would be the Maldives, Alaska and the Galapagos.

Jeremy Hyder - Mate
Nationality - British
Having grown up in the south of England Jeremy has always had a passion for being on the water and any outdoor pursuits. Before beginning his yachting career Jeremy was an Arborist and did so for 8 years throughout England and also in Australia, climbing some of the tallest trees in the world is extremely enjoyable. In 2013 he decided to keep my feet firmly on the deck and started yachting in the Mediterranean and covered much of the beautiful Mediterranean coast. In 2017 he relocated to FT. Lauderdale and have been cruising the East Coast of the USA, Bahamas and Caribbean ever since. Yachting has many plus points, but for Jeremy there is nothing better than the sun rising over a flat ocean, jumping in the tender with guests and cruising off for a fun filled day of fishing, and then returning with a tender full of Mahi Mahi in time for dinner.

Leroy Hitchcock - Engineer
Nationality - South African
Leroy is from South Africa and has a keen interest in all things mechanical.
The only thing Leroy enjoys more than figuring out technical issues is doing that while traveling the world and enjoying nature. So for him, yachting was a natural choice.
After 17 years in hospitality, the last 6 on the corporate side, Leroy decided to pursue this dream. It's been 2 and a half years now and he has loved every minute.
Leroy looks forward to seeing what adventures the future holds.

Alex Harlan - Chief Stew
Nationality- American
Hailing from a simple happy life in the Midwest, Alex has been enjoying the adventure on the water. She studied cosmetology with a focus on hair and worked in the cosmetology industry for 8 years before getting the itch to explore. On her first trip to Bali, she was hooked and started seeking a way to make travel an every day part of her life. Luckily finding herself in yachting over the past 5 years, she has been able to utilize her skills both in cosmetology and expand on her passion for the hospitality industry.
She spends as much of her down time as possible being active and having fun. Her interests are always changing but she tries to make sure she always has a fun goal to keep herself entertained.

Kelly Parker - 2nd Stew
Nationality - American
Kelly is a Colorado native who decided to pack her car, drive across the country, and start a career in yachting a year ago. She desired to pursue a dream of living by and on the ocean, so yachting was the perfect solution. She has been in the service and hospitality industry since the age of 15, making yachting an easy career choice. Kelly grew up riding horses and being a versatile athlete in sports but swimming is her main passion. She also loves camping, biking, live music, traveling, anything involving the water, and meeting people from all over the world. She strives to enjoy living in the moment and living a life of gratitude and adventure! What keeps her feeling young in this crazy world in laughing out loud and remaining spontaneous.
