Professional Skipper and Yachtmaster, Javier Torras was born in Barcelona and spent most of his youth in a small coastal town on the Costa Brava, Catalonia and Ibiza. His parents introduced him to sailing at a very young age, he went through most of the dinghy sailing classes and finally competed in national and international regattas.He studied at universities in England and Spain, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in Maritime Leisure Management and a Master's degree in Business and Finance. He speaks fluently Spanish, French, English and Italian.
After having worked for some years as a Marina Manager, he decided to follow a somewhat different career closer to the sea, becoming a Professional Skipper. He has extensive experience in yacht deliveries and transatlantic voyages and has worked in the charter industry for over a decade in both the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. He was also a Windsurf Instructor, SSI Dive Master and Diving Guide.
He is a respectful and friendly person, he likes to offer clients a pleasant and unforgettable experience, sometimes interacting fully with them and other times allowing maximum space and intimacy.
