Kicking off the fall charter show season, the yachting festival takes place from September 6-11th, 2022. Cannes Festival Location on the French Riviera
For both brokers and the general public, the prestigious show occurs in one of the most exciting yacht destinations. In its 44th year, it’s the largest and one of the oldest Mediterranean yacht shows, attracting more than 50 thousand guests worldwide. The yachting festival, which features over 600 boats, takes place in two ports, the Vieux Port and Port Pierre Canto, within the Bay of Cannes. Ticketed visitors can easily visit the various areas with free shuttle boats available throughout the five-day event. The Cannes yacht festival is an excellent opportunity to see some of the world’s most beautiful yachts up close and personal.
Vieux Port de Cannes
Situated just below Le Suquet hill and along the beautiful seafront, Cannes’ Vieux Port is one of the oldest harbors on the French Riviera. To the east, you can find Croisette Beach, and to the west, the embarkation point for the nearby Lerin islands. More than 500 new motor boats will be present here up to 148 ft in length. A Luxury Gallery will also be located at Vieux Port, featuring all things luxury and lifestyle.
Port Pierre Canto de Cannes
In Port Canto, you will find the Sailing Area, which will be home to more than 120 monohull and multihull sailing boats up to 92 ft. Boats will be in-water, facing the exhibitor stands. This area will be uniquely dedicated to sailing boats, making it easy for enthusiasts to view and compare boats, features, and innovations.
The Yacht Broker and Toys Area will also display 40 previously owned boats, ranging in size from 72 to 183 ft long. These yachts will be available for sale or for charter. The Cannes yacht festival will undoubtedly be an exciting place to see some of the Mediterranean’s top boats and new water toys.
Boats on Display at the Cannes Yacht Festival
Perhaps most notable for 2022 is that of 400 motor-yachts, 135 will be the world premiere boats. Ranging from new San Lorenzo yachts and Ferretti yachts to newcomer Turkish yachts from Bering. Also in attendance, you can find new boats from Sunseeker, Baglietto, and Fountaine Pajot. You can expect new innovative designs, sustainable technology, and new features.
