The Benefits of an Island Vacation
It’s no secret that the Greek islands are a traveler’s paradise, offering beautiful weather, white-sand beaches, charming island towns, dazzling sunsets over the ocean, ancient ruins—the list goes on. While planning your dream vacation to the Greek islands, don’t overlook some other things that make island vacations special.
- Swimming in the sea is beneficial to one’s mood. Like all exercise, it also improves circulation and releases endorphins (feel-good chemicals) in the brain.
- Since the Greek islands are surrounded by water, fresh seafood is abundant. Enjoying this staple of Greek island cuisine is another healthy benefit of your island holiday.
- Being on the sea makes you feel better. Positive ions in sea air enable the body to absorb oxygen more efficiently, thus making you feel more energized. Of course, the gentle rocking of the boat allows you to sleep well, also making you feel good!
