Attending Yachts | Antigua Yacht Show 2021 Winners

Although there were not as many yachts present as in previous years, those that attended were outstanding. They were:

  • AQUA MARE
  • DAMA DE NOCHE
  • ELTON
  • FIREBIRD
  • GALENE
  • HOME
  • HYPERION
  • LA GATTA
  • LIONSHARE
  • MAMY WATA
  • TRIUMPH

The smaller number of attending yachts allowed brokers more time on each one. In addition to viewing the yachts, brokers had time to chat with the captains and crews and get to know them better.

Culinary Competition | Antigua Yacht Show 2021 Winners

Chef Elizabeth Lee organized this year’s culinary competition. Lee, who wrote the cookbook Made With Love, has been a professional yacht chef for over 17 years. As a yacht chef, Elizabeth won almost every competition she entered throughout the Caribbean, including Concours de Chef and Best Chef of the Year.

The Chef’s competition is a themed event that showcases each chef’s culinary skills. This year’s theme, Diamond Jubilee Celebration, brought out the creative flair of the contestants. Chefs were asked to create a three-course meal that was judged for appearance and presentation, taste, creativity, execution, and overall appeal. As a “culinary curveball” chefs were also asked to make one plate gluten-free for each course.

Chef Aaron Thomas of TRIUMPH won the gold, while Chef Julian Brown of LIONSHARE took second place, and Chef Pierre of catamaran FRENCH WEST received third place.

Chief Stewardess Alex Lombard of yacht LIONSHARE won the Tablescaping competition.
