Ryan Dunn| USA
Previous Yachts: Jus Chill’n 3 (33m), Wild Kingdom (34m) Diamonds (32m) Another Day (28m), Q (29m), Royalty Stream (23m) Ryan was born and raised on the Mississippi gulf coast where, as a child, he spent many weekends on a boat. Growing up on the water fuelled his passion for boating and ultimately steered his career choice of being a captain. During his career he has captained vessels ranging from fishing charter boats and prize-winning sportfish boats to offshore supply vessels up to 225ft and of course luxury yachts. Captaining charter yachts and showing guests exciting new experiences that will last a lifetime, brings him joy and a sense of fulfilment. Whether catching someone their first fish or taking them on an unforgettable dive on a beautiful island., Ryan looks forward to making each charter unique and special for every guest on board Far Niente.

CHEF
Jean Matthee | South Africa
Previous Yachts: Twilight (40m) Born in Cape Town, South Africa Jean offers guests a contemporary take on Mediterranean cuisine, heavily influenced by his extensive travels around the world, while retaining hints and touches of his South African roots. Jean worked in fine dining restaurants in the UK and South Africa before moving into yacht gallies nine years ago including his most recent four-year tenure as a solo chef on the successful 40 m charter sailing yacht Twilight. He won the Barcelona Charter Show Chef Competition while working on Twilight - a true honor and epic experience. A keen fisherman, he is happy to give guests a crash course in landing, cleaning and cooking anything they catch while on board. He prides himself on guiding guests and crew through the best possible culinary experience whatever their culinary preferences or dietary needs.
Hobbies: Photography, golf and fishing.

FIRST MATE
Lindsey Semino | USA
Previous Yachts: Aqua Cat, Vista Blue. Born and raised in Arizona, Lindsey’s journey to the yachting industry is as inspiring as it is unique. Her passion for horses initially led her to become a Trainer Jockey, but her love for the water set her on a different path. Lindsey started working at a boat and jet ski rental company, which she successfully managed for nine years. During this time, she honed her skills, built her knowledge of the maritime industry, and laid the foundation for a lifelong career on the water. She began her yachting career as a Deck Stewardess and quickly made her mark with her hard work, motivation, and dedication. After joining M/Y Far Niente, Lindsey’s talents and leadership qualities were evident, and she stepped up to the Chief Officer position within just two years. She has now been an integral part of the M/Y Far Niente team for six years, showcasing her loyalty and exceptional expertise. Lindsey has extensive hands-on experience as a Dockhand at a marina and on a dive boat, during which time she earned her Captain’s license. As Chief Officer, she combines her extensive maritime experience, tender driving skills, and passion for travel and videography to ensure every guest has an unforgettable experience. Her dedication and love for the ocean inspire everyone she meets, making her a true leader in the yachting world.
Hobbies: Diving, Kite Surfing, Wakeboarding, Horseback Riding, Traveling and Videography.

CHIEF STEWARDESS
Marlena Drandic | Croatia
Previous Yachts: M/Y G3, M/Y Lionshare, M/Y Nero, M/Y DynaR, M/Y Rahil. Born and raised in Croatia, Marlena has a diverse background in healthcare, creativity, and hospitality. After completing nursing high school, she earned a degree in Physiotherapy and worked at a rehabilitation and thalassotherapy clinic. Along the way, she became a certified lecturer in physiotherapy and expressed her artistic side as a guitarist and singer in a local band. Seeking more adventure, Marlena transitioned into yachting, where she has excelled for the past 12 years. Her role as Chief Stewardess allows her to combine her love of travel, fine dining, and luxury hospitality with her creative talents. She is known for crafting stunning tablescapes and organizing memorable themed nights. Fluent in English and Italian, with conversational Spanish, Marlena also brings exceptional bartending and barista expertise to her role. A certified mixologist, her cocktail creations and attention to detail perfectly complement her outgoing personality and strong organizational skills.
Hobbies: Yoga, music, reading, hiking, dancing and creating content for her YouTube channel.

CHIEF ENGINEER
Javier Briceño | Venezuela
Born and raised in Venezuela, Javier spent five years at Merchant Marine School before pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, graduating in 2018 after eight years of study. He began his career working on chemical tank ships and transitioned to the yachting industry in 2023. His experience includes traversing the Atlantic Ocean and exploring the Caribbean Sea. Javier joined MY Far Niente in May 2024 and is deeply passionate about his role, looking forward to an exciting upcoming season. For the past eight years, Javier has lived in Argentina.
Hobbies: Swimming and staying active at the gym

SECOND STEWARDESS
Gorana Sabic | Croatia
Previous Yachts: G3 (44m), Lion Share (39m), Nero (90m). Gorana comes from Croatia and has built a successful career in yachting over the past 10 years. After completing her education as a Dental Technician, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Economics. However, her adventurous spirit and love for travel led her to the yachting industry, where she discovered a true passion for the dynamic lifestyle it offers. From exploring stunning destinations to meeting people from diverse cultures, Gorana thrives in the ever-changing environment of yachting. For the past 3 years, she has been a valued member of the Far Niente crew, bringing her bubbly and friendly personality to the team. Her enthusiasm, professionalism, and love for the yachting life make her an exceptional addition to any crew. Her adventurous nature and positive outlook on life make her a joy to be around, both at work and in her downtime.
Hobbies: Hiking scenic trails, working out to stay fit, diving into a great book and traveling around the world.

DECK/STEW
Chloë Thomson | South Africa
Previous Yachts: Fomo2, The Job Father, Lady Kristina. Chloe Thompson is a 23 year old from Johannesburg, South Africa. The eldest sibling in her family, she shares a close bond with her younger brother and considers her parents her greatest supporters. Her best friend, however, is her loyal four-legged companion, a spirited Dachshund named Rolo. In February 2024, Chloe embarked on her yachting journey, quickly proving her determination and work ethic. She gained valuable experience through daywork on yachts. Her role as a sole deck/stew on 112 foot Lady Kristina was a significant milestone, showcasing her ability to excel in both deck and interior responsibilities. Joining Far Niente marked her proudest achievement to date, where she continues to grow, alongside the crew. Chloe is determined to make her mark in the yachting world while embracing the endless opportunities for growth and adventure it offers. Chloe is adventurous and goal-drive individual who thrives on physical activity and is dedication for self-improvement and personal growth.
