Crew Profile

CAPTAIN – Vasilis Mazis
Vasilis was born in 1980 and he is a Greek national. He holds a Captain’s diploma, a high speed boat license and all the necessary certificates for his position. He started his career on tanker ships and after gaining valuable experience he entered the yachting industry in 2004. Before joining M/Y Grace in 2022, he served onboard the charter yachts M/Y Ionion Star, M/Y Nefeli, M/Y Vento, M/Y Almaz among others. His outgoing and hospitable personality makes him the perfect commander for Grace. Vasilis with his long experience is aware of all secluded bays and best anchorages in the Greek seas and he is an expert in creating tailor made cruises. Vasilis speaks English and loves fishing, snorkeling, traveling and reading.

ENGINEER – Nikos Psychakis
Nikos was born in Athens in 1982 and holds an engineer’s Class A diploma and all necessary certificates and training for his position. He started his career in 2003 on commercial ships and then he moved to cruise ships and the yachting industry. Nikos’ primary duty is the safety of all the guests and crew onboard, and his experience in big vessels and travelling around the world is a valuable asset for M/Y Grace. He speaks fluent English.

CHEF – John Kypriotis
John is a Greek national and he has graduated from Tourism College of Greece. He started his career in 1995 and since then he is working as a chef in various luxury restaurants, hotels & villas around Greece and Europe; in Mykonos, Santorini, Paros, Rhodes and in Switzerland. He has been working on charter yachts since 2007 and before joining M/Y Grace, John offered his services onboard M/Y Princess L. He has knowledge of international cuisines however his great passion is the Mediterranean and especially the contemporary Greek gastronomy. He is excellent in combining local Greek products with foreign cuisines creating delicious fusion dishes. John is a perfectionist and pays great attention to detail. He loves preparing himself everything he serves; from fresh homemade bread to sauces and heavenly desserts. John speaks English, and has basic Italian and German. He enjoys running, listening to music and computers.

STEWARDESS - Dimitra Papadopoulou
Dimitra is a Greek national, born in 1985 and holds a diploma in PC Networks & Applications. She has attended many seminars and holds a certificate in Silver service, wine and cocktails. She has worked in the hospitality industry for many years at various restaurants gaining valuable experience. Dimitra is very well organized with excellent communication skills. Before joining Grace she worked onboard M/Y Aelia, M/Y Divine, M/Y Galux-One, M/Y Aquila and M/Y Princess L. She makes sure that the guests will be pampered to the highest standards of service and that everyone has an enjoyable and comfortable time. With her pleasant personality and her creativity is an asset to the crew. She loves practicing Judo and she has achieved many distinctions such as a silver medal at the Panhellenic Junior Championship (2000) and two bronze medals (2000&2001). Dimitra speaks fluent English and she loves playing guitar, composing music and lyrics and designing jewels.


2nd STEWARDESS: Kseniya Lazarenko
Kseniya was born in Nafplion and she is a Greek – Ukrainian national. She has extensive experience in hospitality having previously worked on various yachts and restaurants in Athens, Mykonos and Nafplion. She is a highly motivated and enthusiastic person with great social skills. She holds all the necessary certificates of a seafarer. She has attended many seminars in hospitality sector such as Food Hygiene & Safety, Beefeater Gin College training, Jameson Irish Whiskey training and she has a WSET level 1 award in Wines. Before joining M/Y Grace, she served onboard M/Y Aquila and M/Y Princess L. Kseniya is a responsible person and always ready to help her team mates with a big smile. She is doing an amazing job keeping the interior of the yacht in top condition and offering high quality services to all guests. When not working, she enjoys cooking, yoga and travelling. She speaks English, Greek ad Russian.


DECKHAND – Marios Kaplan
Marios was born in 1994 and he is a Greek national. He has his necessary certificates and a speed boat license. He has served onboard many motor yachts such as M/Y Funky Choice, M/Y Vitamin Sea, M/Y Hasabi II, M/Y Tropicana and M/Y Eva before joining Grace’s team in 2024. He is a team player and very reliable when doing his duties on board and always with a smile.
