Over the course of his professional yachting career spanning over two and a half decades, Jacques has had the privilege of embarking on extensive global cruising adventures. During his tenure, he met his wife, Audrey, within the industry, and they have since expanded their family to include their two daughters, both avid sailors who have inherited their father’s passion for the ocean.

Jacques’s deep appreciation for the outdoors and the ocean’s boundless offerings has fueled his enthusiasm for various water-based activities, including diving, surfing, sailing, and fishing. He finds unparalleled joy in exploring and immersing himself in the ocean’s diverse experiences. As the Captain of the vessel, Jacques is committed to ensuring the utmost satisfaction for both the Owner and Guests. He will diligently oversee all aspects of the voyage, implementing measures to maximize the enjoyment and comfort of all onboard.


Chef - Juan Ruiz
Chef Juan’s culinary journey began in a bustling port fish market, where he developed a deep appreciation for fresh seafood before honing his craft as a chef for nearly 20 years. His passion for the sea extends beyond the kitchen—he loves diving and fishing for sea urchins and local catch, often incorporating them into his dishes. With an upbeat, laid-back personality, he creates a fun and welcoming dining experience on board.

As Blackwood’s chef, Juan combines technical skill with deep knowledge of local ingredients and regional cooking techniques, adapting his menus to each destination. His ability to source and highlight the best seasonal flavors makes him the perfect fit for Alaska, where he’ll craft dishes that showcase the pristine seafood of the region—from wild-caught salmon to freshly harvested crab—turning every meal into a true taste of the journey.


Mate - Jordon Booth
Born and raised in a lake town outside Westchester, NY, Jordon has always had a passion for adventure. After a career in Venture Capital in Silicon Valley, he traded in the corporate world for a life of travel, eventually finding his way into yachting. Since then, he’s worked on superyachts across Miami, the Mediterranean, Asia, and even the wild landscapes of Alaska.

As Mate of Blackwood, Jordon is all about creating unforgettable experiences on the water. From fishing trips to onshore adventures and spontaneous games, his easygoing, high-energy vibe ensures a great time. An avid diver, hiker, and Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, he thrives on adventure and is always up for a challenge. His goal is simple: to make sure every guest leaves with incredible stories and a trip they’ll never forget.

Lana brings a natural warmth, energy, and adventurous spirit to every experience. An avid surfer, diver, and Jiu-Jitsu enthusiast, she thrives both in and out of the water, ensuring guests have an unforgettable experience onboard.

With a keen eye for detail and a passion for hospitality, Lana delivers seamless service—whether setting an elegant table, crafting cocktails, or keeping the yacht in top condition.
