Jonathan Moynihan – Captain | American
Jonathan is a seasoned and versatile yacht captain with over 15 years of global sailing and command experience. With a comprehensive background in seamanship, navigation, engineering, and yacht management, he brings a well-rounded, highly professional approach to leading M/Y HOYA SAXA.
His career spans a wide range of sailing and motor yachts from 45 to 87 feet, including high-performance custom vessels and luxury catamarans. Jonathan has captained both private and charter yachts, as well as transoceanic deliveries, with extensive offshore passages throughout the South Pacific, Caribbean, Atlantic, and U.S. East Coast.
He holds a USCG 200/500-ton Master License with sail endorsement and an RYA Yachtmaster Offshore 200-ton Sail qualification. Career highlights include managing charter fleets in the British Virgin Islands and Hawaii, delivering vessels across major oceans, and commanding private luxury yachts for discerning owners and guests.
